Advocacy is already making a tremendous impact in HIV/AIDS work, perhaps nowhere more visibly than in the spread of HIV/AIDS medications. Over the past two years, more and more hospitals and clinics around the world — in places such as Ethiopia, India and Tanzania — have gained access to anti-retroviral drugs (ARVs), thanks largely to advocacy efforts.
